About Tenterden Swords

The Club

The Tenterden Swords Fencing Club was formed 50 years ago, in the mid 1970s, by Dr. Raymond Crawfurd.

It is open to all age groups, but, from experience, we have a usual lower age limit of 8 years.

All 3 weapons are used at Tenterden, although currently the most common among the adults is epee.

Coaching is available with all weapons.

Joining

It is not necessary to make an appointment, just turn up at the appropriate time for the age group and make yourself known. Suitable clothing would be tracksuit trousers or jogging bottoms and trainers.

For beginners, clothing and equipment is available to use, subject to the club having enough kit that fits.

Beginners will be required to undergo a structured introduction in the first instance and everyone follows basic safety procedures.

The first evening is free and membership costs will be explained.

Enquiries in the first instance to secretary@tenterden-swords.uk
